This was the last Summer Event in July. August is upon us, and there are plenty of attractions to look forward to. Don’t miss them!
On Wednesday, July 29, a group of students went for a walk around Warsaw’s Praga district. For most of the participants, it was their first visit to this part of the city, which is not surprising — Praga is still often perceived as the “more mysterious” side of Warsaw.
Fortunately, any concerns quickly gave way to admiration for the district’s authentic atmosphere and colorful corners.
We were enchanted by the fairytale-like murals, neon signs dating back to the communist era, old pre-war tenement houses, and small courtyard shrines dedicated to the Virgin Mary. We also visited an iconic spot where Warsaw’s bohemian crowd loves to stop for ice cream. The walk was filled with a unique atmosphere and unforgettable experiences.
It was wonderful — it’s hard to believe that half of the summer holidays are already over!
