Toru艅 is one of the oldest cities in Poland, once very rich
due to its membership in the Hanseatic League and its inland seaport on the Vistula River.
This is where the great Polish astronomer – Nicolaus Copernicus – was born.
The city is also famous for its gingerbread, which as a specialty often resembled works of art
and were given as a special gift to the most distinguished guests.
